Update: November 19, 2008

It's been only a week, and apparently i'm already struggling with my goals.

9. i realize it's good keeping in touch with good friends. sometimes an hour or two... or even 3 on the phone catching up is the therapy i need after a long week

49. This has been really hard. I'm trying to go for... not as much 'general' blessings... but blessings that relate to each day. And somedays, are just down right depressing, that, i just want to write down some general blessing to get it over with. But it's been good. keep a positive spin on life.

81. Shepherd's pie! it's pretty simple, but i have to ease myself into it right!? i did modify the recipe a bit, adding my own spin on things :) visuals to come.

98. I signed up to volunteer at Yonge Street Mission's Christmas Pageant. I have no idea what i'll be doing yet, but i'm getting excited.

1.

So after pouring over this list for about 2 days now... i finally have a set list. It was a lot harder than I thought... mostly because i think i'm afraid of putting things down. I'm not sure whether they're things i currently want to do as a whim... or things i'd want to keep up with.

BUT! the list is final... 101 things here i go!

motivation

a lot of people seem to be doing this 'list' thing, and the more i kept telling myself 'there's no way i can think of 101 things that i want to accomplish' the more i realized i needed some sort of list, some sort of way of motivating myself to accomplish things that I wouldn't dream of even trying.

There are a lot of little things in life that i keep putting off, because i have no time, or 'i'll do it later'. but as the end of my university career is coming and i find myself at 22 years old, with no direction in life, it's time to begin planning and moving forward. doing all the things i wouldn't dare do, or was just too lazy to try.

To put something into words, and so to speak 'concrete' so that i remember these goals, and in 1001 days i can look back and not forget everything i've done - but rather reminisce at all the good times i had trying to achieve this list.

over the past few years, i feel as if i've become stagnant in many aspects of my life; it's easy for me to overlook the tasks i do in everyday life. so this marks my journey of change. whether it seems like i've been moving forward or backward, in the end i know i won't be the same person i was on November 12, 2008.
